Confident, empowered birth starts here.

Birth doesn’t always go according to plan.

This resource will help you prepare for your birth, no matter what happens.

The Birth Principles Workbook is a soulful alternative to a birth plan.

It’s the deepest preparation for birth you can do.

This workbook will help you to:

> Meet the unpredictability of birth with the deep knowledge of your ability to birth

> Develop a birth plan or set of intentions that feels right to you, but also develop the resilience to navigate whatever transpires during your birth

> Consider how you want to feel and be treated while you birth your baby into this world.

> Write a birth plan with SOUL – one that is meaningful and powerful.

What people are saying about the Birth Principles Workbook…

“I knew I needed something to help me process my first birth and move towards preparing for my 2nd birth, but I just didn’t know what. I thought about counselling, or a post-partum debrief, but couldn’t find the right person, and didn’t know where to start. Then I found your birth principles.  It took me in ALL the right directions. These were outstanding questions I deeply needed to ask myself, reflect on and articulate in the context of this new pregnancy. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful, thought provoking and healing tool.”

“The Birth Principles Workbook was such a great resource for deep digging!  It’s the perfect reflective exercise for people who love to write – I wrote 15 pages answering the questions! I feel even more excited to meet my little guy, and plan to be in a state of hopeful expectation (one of the phrases I identified as a birth principle!) when I do! Thank you!

About Me, and the Birth Principles Story

Hi, I’m Jessie. I’m a mother of two beautiful children, and I’ve been supporting women as a birth doula for over fifteen years. I am also a certified life coach through the Centre for Applied Neuroscience and the Centre for Narrative Coaching and Design.

The Birth Principles concept was born as I was preparing for the birth of my son, and wanted a different, more meaningful way to convey not just my preferences for my birth, but my deepest beliefs in my ability to birth. I hope the Workbook helps you to do the same thing.
